Good Homer chub are rare to find in my experience, here is a sizeable chub in a bow fronted, gilt lined case. Fully gold written "CHUB Caught by F A Mitchell Hedges at Marlow 21st Oct 1905 Weight4lb 8oz". See right for further provenance re the captor as attached to the rear of the 26" by 16.5" by 7" case.

Attached to the rear of the Homer chub shown left, details of the captor and his invovlement with the crystal skull saga from the beginning of the last century. So whether this, or the fact that it is a Thames fish that attracts, there is much to recommend this case!

Another of my favourites, a delicately scale painted roach in a bow fronted, gilt lined case. Details to the rear of the case "ROACH Caught by Mr F Templeman at Amberley January 13th 1907 Wgt 1lb 15 1/2ozs" (another very honest angler! Note, same captor as the Anstiss chub shown earlier.
