A very rare late Homer case of big roach in an Octagonal case (small crack to one of the top panels-not visible from the front and not detracting from the case). Only one of two Octagonal cases I have seen and one of the latest Homer cases. Two large roach with typed plaque in the case stating "Roach 2lb 1oz and 1lb 14oz River Taw North Devon 22.10.1961 by D.G.DENT".
A Golden Orfe in the style of Hardy. No details but a fish in a bow fronted case, fish approximately 2 to 3lb in weight.
A hybrid, taxidermist unknown in a flat fronted case. Internal label states "Abrami Buggenkaggi Hybrid-Roach and Rudd Caught in the Ouse at Roxton Bedfordshire Aug 27th 1908 by C.S.Smelt Weight 3lbs 4ozs". Case size 23" by 16" by 4 1/2". An unusual early case, scale painted and well presented.
Sanders Brown Trout in a bow front gilt lined case 23 x 13 ½ x 6. The usual reed work marks this out as a Sanders case the internal label stating “Caught at Hurstbourne by E.Phillips 19th July 1879 Weight 3lbs”.
A jack pike set in a bow fronted case-details on label to top left of case stating “PIKE caught Nov ’84 from “The Warren” at Chingford by Mr Armitage”-also repeated in gold writing on the case-fish approximately 5lbs-case 30” by 14” by 6”

Unusual setting in a picture frame style setting with bream set in an all glass case 25" by 18" by 6". Hand written label stating "Bream 3lb 9oz Dillington Reservoir"-an inexpensive set.
W. Gibson chub in a gilt lined bow front case 25 x 14 ½ x 6. Super early fish, fly in mouth with nylon to the top of the case with label stating “Chub 3lb 1oz Caught by J.K.Smith Esq 29th July 1886. River Thames”.
Homer bream in a gilt lined, gold written bow front case 25 x 14 ½ x 6. A good Homer case but with a hard Perspex bow front(but very difficult to differentiate from glass in this case) and external gold writing “Bream 3lb 6oz caught by G.F.Hilton 30th July 1939”. Very nice decorative case.
Homer trout in a bow fronted, gilt lined, case. No legend or specific details however a Homer fish without doubt in the 4lb range in weight-case size 29" by 14" by 8"
Who says you can't have a cased pike because they take up too much room................ This is a lovely little jack pike, no taxidermist details in a flat front case approximately 21 1/2" by 12" by 4" so can squeeze into the tightest spaces!

A lovely early 1860s brown trout by Sanders. In a bow fronted, gilt lined, case with hand written label to the top left hand of the case stating "Taken in the River Lea 9th February 1864 by Mr J Thomson Weight 3lb 4oz". As with most Sanders cases the fish is still almost perfect given that this fish is now around 150 years old! All original glass-gilt lining has lost a little of its crisp edging however so would most of us if we were 150...
A pike looking every inch of 30lbs plus set in a bow fronted, gilt lined case- a huge fish with gold written “PIKE 33lbs 14ozs Caught by Albert White, gaffed by W.C. Talbutt, Feb1972”. The fish is truly huge and an impressive set-case 51” by 22” by 9”

An early pike by unknown taxidermist-probably Cooper/ Sanders or similar-superb quality fish of around 17 to 20lbs or so in a bow fronted, gilt lined, case. Details provided when purchased stated "Caught by John Orlebar with livebait in the River Ouze at Pavenham October 18th 1878." No details in the case but all the case indicates that the information is accurate.
